Hearts for Hospitality Ministry

This ministry seeks to model Jesus Christ’s foundational example of being hospitable. This is an opportunity to open up our homes, and our hearts, for Jesus Christ by inviting someone new into our lives in order to build relationships, share the gospel, and bring glory to our Heavenly Father.

ROMANS 15:5-7 "May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God."

Be creative and have fun. A passion for our Savior is contagious!

Hearts for Hospitality Guidance:

What to Expect Next.

Once we have identified a new guest/member/family we will contact you to offer a sense of the family you will be inviting into your home (i.e.: single, married, ages, kids, church background, etc.). This will also give you an opportunity to think of another MCC family you may want to include in your invite.

Getting Connected & Active Listening.

As part of your first time connecting, be sure you are quick to listen. As part of your conversation be attentive to learn more about the person or family. What types of food do they like? What do they like to do for fun? Do they enjoy sports, music, reading, traveling, etc.? Have they recently moved to this area? You can gather so many good ideas from simple connecting questions.

What Are Some Creative Ideas?

Based on your first-time connecting, hopefully you were able to gather a few ideas for making your hosting more personalized. A devotional & dinner, build your own ice-cream sundaes, a fireside chat with snacks, game night...I think you get the idea.

We recommend inviting another MCC Family to join in on the fun. What better way to enfold people into our church.

How can I/We be praying for you and your family?

Asking how I/We can be praying for you is always a great way to open the door to more open conversations; and more importantly remind them of your love, trust and faithfulness in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
